Pine “clears” refers to a high-grade pine timber that is free of knots and other defects, such as excessive checking, discoloration, or resin pockets, offering a uniform and aesthetic appearance. This premium quality makes it ideal for high-end applications like furniture, cabinetry, and interior trim, where a smooth, consistent finish is desired. It’s typically a light cream to straw colour with a fine, open, and straight grain, and is significantly easier to work with than knotty pine.
