MDF (medium-density fiberboard) is a wood product made from wood fibers, wax, and resin, pressed into dense, smooth, and stable panels that are ideal for furniture and painted finishes. It lacks a wood grain, making it easy to machine, but it is less strong and more susceptible to moisture damage than plywood. In contrast, plywood is made from thin layers of wood veneer glued together, offering superior strength, durability, and better moisture resistance.
